If you want to take a formal course and get a qualification, then we can help you. We currently offer:

• Marketing for Managers (Level 3 Unit)

Running a business takes a lot of time and effort, and we realise that many people may not want to take a formal training course or even be looking for a qualification. So, at Swans, we take a flexible approach and offer sections of this training in small chunks to suit our members' needs.

Training events usually last for around 4 hours and are offered at various times of the day to fit around childcare and other care and domestic responsibilities. Each event covers a specific topic, such as "writing a business plan", "understanding business accounts" or "carrying out market research", and usually includes some distance learning work matched to each individual's business. For those people that want to, we can assess their work and they can accumulate credits towards ILM qualifications as they go along. For others, training events are an excellent way of developing and improving their knowledge and skills in a non-threatening and supportive group.
