Swans (North East) is an independent not-for-profit organisation with the central aim of supporting the regional and national strategies to encourage and promote more women into enterprise. We do this by working in a fully inclusive way with both men and women to "inspire - nurture - grow" the outcome of more women engaging in enterprise across the North East region.

We offer an accessible network that provides support and opportunities if you are wanting to return to work, change career, advance your current career, or if you are thinking about starting up a business, as well as entrepreneurs looking to develop their personal skills and their business ideas.

Our current service offering is a combined programme of:

• animation and enterprise events
• support through a membership networking group
• guidance and advice for pre-start businesses (eggs)
• a support, networking and mentoring scheme for new businesses (cygnets)
• ongoing networking including training and master classes for established businesses (swans)
